Western Illinois Adds to 2017 FCS Victories Over FBS

The Missouri Valley, the Colonial, and the MEAC led conference honors with two FCS victories over FBS opponents in 2017.  While the Missouri Valley and the Colonial are card-carrying members of the upper-crust of the FCS, the MEAC held the HBCU banner high in very impressive manner.  The FBS Sun Belt did not have much fun as they were victimized three times by FCS teams.  The FBS Mountain West was the only other multiple loser to FCS squads as they dropped two contests.

The Liberty Flames win The Mythical FCS Victories Over FBS 2017 National Championship for their exciting win in Waco, Texas, over the erstwhile top-notch, Baylor Bears, of the Power Five, Big 12.  It will be very interesting to see how Liberty fares in the FBS as they certainly looked the part against Baylor.  Liberty should get a tremendous amount of credit for the sheer guts, gumption and fire-in-the-belly necessary to move up to the FBS.  The same can be said for those not-so-shy souls who have gone before them.  This ground has only been trod by men, hard men, hard men of grit and determination, a grit and determination that no pajama-boy could ever fathom.

The Mythical FCS Victories Over FBS 2017 National Championship will undoubtedly give the Flames a monumental boost going into the 2018 season.

No usurpers to this crown shall be countenanced.
